Executive Director – Full-Time (Exempt, 40 hrs/week)

The Solano County Farm Bureau (SCFB) is seeking a dynamic and organized Executive Director to lead a non-profit, membership-driven organization representing the interests of farmers and ranchers in Solano County. This position also oversees the charitable arm of SCFB, the Solano County Ag Education Foundation.
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Board President, the Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of SCFB and its Foundation. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors, supervises staff, and implements policies that advance the organization’s mission and goals.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee office operations and personnel
• Maintain records and manage budgets/financials, including monthly reports
• Lead membership recruitment and retention
• Plan and coordinate events, including community outreach
• Serve as Recording Secretary for the Board of Directors (minutes and agenda packets)
• Update and manage the SCFB website and social media
• Coordinate bi-monthly newsletters and weekly e-news updates
• Manage the Ag Education Foundation’s finances, programs, fundraising, and board support
Desired Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in management or administration
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marketing platforms
• Familiarity with accounting and bookkeeping experience
• String oral and written communication skills
• Public speaking and comfort with advocacy roles
• Experience working with a board of directors
• Commitment to local agriculture and understanding its business and social requirements
• Self-motivated with flexibility for varied hours
 
Salary & Benefits:
• Base salary $68,640 per year
• Paid vacation and sick leave
• Mileage reimbursement at the federal rate (use of personal vehicle required)
